Can you still make me a holster? Q: How do I "break-in" my holster? A: If your holster is too stiff or too tight, the best way I've found to break in a leather holster is by inserting the gun in one or two grocery bags and inserting the gun into the holster and leaving it in there overnight. If it is still too tight, do it one more night. Q: How do I care for my holster? Do I need to oil it? A: Other than avoiding the leather from soaking in water, there really isn't any need to oil or take any special care of it. A: Yes! The stitching is guaranteed for as long as I am making holsters. If you ever have a problem just let me know and I will be glad to assist you. Q: Do I need a
Paypal account to pay? Q:When will my order be charged? A: Your order is charged immediately. You are free however to cancel it at any time. Q: How long before my order is shipped? A: Please check on the page your product is listed. The estimated turnaround time is listed at the top in red font. The time lists approximately when your order will be SHIPPED. Delivery usually takes an additional 2 to 3 days. Q: Is payment through your website safe? Can I pay with check or money order? A: Yes! All payments are made through Paypal. For their security information please click here. You do NOT have to be a Paypal member to pay. If you still prefer paying by check or money order please click here to open the order form. Print it, fill it out and ship it with your payment. A: A sweat shield is basically an extension on the side of the holster that faces you that prevents the slide of the gun from touching any part of you. This protects you from any sharp parts from the gun and the gun from sweat and moisture. Here is a picture:
Q: Do I need a high ride or low ride holster? A: High ride holsters make the gun easier to grab and pull out but low ride conceals it better. Comfort of a certain style varies with people's bodies, the clothing they wear and with guns. Tighter clothing will require better concealment and larger guns may be bothersome for some if they are too high or too low. To find out what is more comfortable for you, I suggest you unload your weapon carefully and carry it inside your waistband while wearing a belt so that your gun does not fall off. Carefully walk around the house , sit down, etc. (CAUTION: Be very careful while walking with a gun on your belt, it could fall off if you walk too fast or make sudden movements. A holster is always the safest way to carry a gun). Try this with the gun sitting high enough for you to pull out easily (high ride) and also in a lower position (low ride). EXAMPLES:
Q: Do I need a tilted belt holster? A: A slight tilt on the way the gun fits into the holster can make a draw easier depending on your preference and position you wear your gun. I offer a 15 degree tilt forward or back. To determine if you need a forward , back, or no tilt the following image may help:
Q: My gun is not listed. Can you still make me a holster? A: Most likely, YES! Do not be afraid to ask if you do not see it listed! Q: What is your return policy? A: You may return your holster within 30 days. Item must be in a resell-able condition. Have more questions? Please e-mail me at: questions@jmgholsters.com |
